A custom charcuterie box is a lovely way to bring your favorite flavors together, whether you are planning a small celebration, sending a thoughtful gift, or making an ordinary evening feel a little more special. The fun is in choosing an assortment that feels right for the people sharing it. You do not need to know every cheese or arrive with a perfect pairing plan.

At Board & Boujee, you can begin with your box size, then share your preferred meats, cheeses, grains, and finishing touches through our online order request menu. This guide walks you through those choices, with a few ideas to help you get started. Your selections are preferences for us to review together, and we will personally confirm availability and the final details.

1. Start with the occasion and the people

A custom charcuterie box starts with a simple question: who is going to enjoy it? A quiet evening for two, a thank-you gift, and a birthday gathering can all call for different choices. Before thinking about individual cheeses, picture the moment when the box will be opened. Will everyone gather around one table, or will each person have a box of their own?

Think about what else you are serving, too. A box enjoyed before dinner has a different job from the food you plan to share during a leisurely afternoon. Tell us whether your selection is a little welcome bite, part of a larger spread, or the main grazing moment. That context helps us discuss a size and assortment that suit your plans.

Our single grazing boxes serve one person and range from $14–$18 per box. Medium boxes serve two to three people and range from $25–$35. Large boxes serve four to six people and range from $40–$55. These are menu ranges, with your final price confirmed personally before your order is accepted.

If you are planning for a group, include the number of people and the quantity of boxes you have in mind. For a gift, let us know whether the recipient will share it. For a larger celebration, you can also explore our grazing tables and other offerings before choosing your format.

2. Choose cheeses with a little contrast

The easiest way to begin is with a cheese you already love. Then consider a different texture or flavor beside it. A creamy cheese and a firmer cheese give you two different kinds of bites, while a bold selection can add a little adventure for someone who enjoys trying something new. You do not have to choose every option to make a box feel special.

For soft and creamy selections, our menu includes Triple Cream Brie, an Artisan Goat Cheese Log, and a Burrata Ball. Brie brings a creamy, buttery character. The goat cheese log is offered with fresh herbs or wild honey, and the burrata is served over fresh pesto. Mention your preferred direction when sending your request, especially if you have a favorite preparation.

If you love a firmer bite, consider Aged Gouda, Manchego, or White Sharp Cheddar. Aged Gouda has rich caramel notes and crystalline texture. Manchego offers a mild, nutty character, while White Sharp Cheddar brings a more pronounced savory flavor. Choosing one familiar cheese can make the rest of your assortment feel approachable for guests with different tastes.

For something more distinctive, the menu includes Creamy Gorgonzola Blue, Merlot Bellavitano, Chipotle Spiced Gouda, and Blue Cheese Truffle. These are lovely choices to explore when you enjoy blue cheese, wine-inspired flavors, or a spiced option. If you are ordering for someone else and do not know their preferences, tell us that rather than guessing.

One simple approach is to request a creamy favorite, a firm favorite, and a bolder accent, subject to your box size and availability. There is no need to make the selection complicated. We will review your choices and discuss how they fit together before confirming your order.

3. Pick the meats your guests will enjoy

Choosing meat is another chance to make the box personal. Start by considering whether your guests enjoy pork, prefer beef or turkey, or would like another option. Our ordering menu lets you share those preferences directly, so you can describe the kind of assortment you have in mind rather than settling for a standard combination.

For delicate, ribboned selections, choose from Prosciutto di Parma and Sweet Capocollo. Prosciutto di Parma is paper-thin and silky, with a savory flavor. Sweet Capocollo is a seasoned Italian pork shoulder. These are options for guests who enjoy traditional pork selections and the variety they bring alongside cheese and crisp accompaniments.

Our other meat choices include Beef Prosciutto, also called Bresaola, Beef Salami, Turkey Salami, Chicken, Roast Beef, and Ham. If you are drawn to familiar deli-style flavors, start there. If beef is your preference, note whether you would like bresaola, beef salami, roast beef, or a combination for us to review.

You can also select a seafood preference or request no meat or seafood. Seafood is a preference on the menu, so please describe what you have in mind in your notes; the specific selection and availability need to be discussed before confirmation. A meat-free request is also a good opportunity to tell us which cheeses and accompaniments you most enjoy.

If avoiding pork, seafood, or another ingredient is essential, write that clearly in the dietary requirements field as well as making your selections. A preference checkbox is a starting point for a conversation. It does not replace a discussion of ingredient requirements, preparation, or whether we can accommodate your request.

4. Give your cheeses something delicious to sit on

The breads and crackers are part of the pleasure of a charcuterie box. A crisp base adds a different texture to a creamy cheese and makes it easy to build a bite. Every board comes with a custom assortment of artisanal grains, and you can share your preferences when you create your order request.

Our grains menu includes Organic Rosemary & Sea Salt Crackers, Crisp Sourdough Flatbread Treads, Lightly Toasted French Baguette Crostini, and Gluten-Free Seeded Crackers. You might lean toward rosemary crackers for an herbal note, crostini for a toasted bite, or sourdough flatbread for a different crisp texture. Choose what appeals to you and let us know if there is an option you would rather leave out.

If you are choosing several cheeses, think about how you like to eat them. Do you enjoy building little stacks, spreading something creamy, or tasting each item on its own? Those small preferences can help guide the assortment. There is no single correct way to enjoy a box.

A gluten-free cracker selection should be accompanied by a clear note about your needs. Selecting that option does not establish that the entire box is gluten-free or that cross-contact can be avoided. We will need to discuss the full request before confirming whether it can be accommodated.

5. Add finishing touches that feel like you

Fresh fruit and olives are available as accompaniment preferences in the ordering menu. Consider which direction you enjoy more: a juicy, fresh bite between richer selections, or something savory to sit alongside the cheese and meat. You can request either, both, or ask us to help shape the assortment.

For a gift, a few words about the recipient are often more helpful than a long list of ingredients. Perhaps they always choose sharp cheddar, love olives, and would happily skip anything spicy. Share those details in your notes. They give us a clearer picture of what will make opening the box feel thoughtful.

For a celebration, include the occasion without feeling that every bite has to match a theme. A birthday, anniversary, or thank-you moment can feel personal through the choices inside the box. If you have a special presentation request, describe it so we can discuss what is possible along with the ingredients.

Leave room for conversation about availability. Selecting your favorites communicates what you would like; it is not a promise that every selected item will fit every size or be available for your date. If one ingredient matters most, name it as your priority so we can address it when reviewing your request.

6. Picture a combination before you order

If a long menu makes it hard to choose, try imagining a few bites rather than an entire box. For a familiar starting point, you might request Triple Cream Brie and White Sharp Cheddar, paired with Turkey Salami or Ham, plus crostini and fresh fruit. This is an example to help you express your taste, with the final assortment still to be confirmed.

For someone who enjoys richer, more distinctive flavors, you could begin with Aged Gouda and Merlot Bellavitano, then ask about Beef Salami or Bresaola, olives, and rosemary crackers. If spice is part of the appeal, mention Chipotle Spiced Gouda as a preferred cheese. Let us know whether you want that flavor to be a small accent or a particular focus.

A cheese-led request might begin with Artisan Goat Cheese Log, Manchego, and a no-meat-or-seafood preference. From there, you can ask about fruit, olives, and your favorite grains. Keep dietary requirements separate from flavor ideas, and remember that cheese-led does not automatically mean suitable for every vegetarian diet or allergy requirement.

These combinations are suggestions for starting your request, rather than fixed packages or additional menu products. You can mix your own favorites, keep things simple, or ask Board & Boujee to help you choose. The best starting point is an honest description of what you and your guests enjoy.

7. Share the details, then let us confirm your box

When you are ready, open our Build Your Box menu, choose a size and quantity, and select your ingredient preferences. Review the summary before sending it. This is a useful moment to check that your favorite cheeses, meat preferences, and grains are listed the way you intended.

Include your requested date, pickup or delivery preference and location, and contact information. Add allergies and dietary requirements in the space provided, then use the notes field for the occasion, special requests, and anything you would like us to prioritize. A clear request gives us the details needed to have a helpful confirmation conversation.

Your submission is an order request. Board & Boujee will contact you to confirm ingredients, availability, arrangements, and the final price. Your order is not confirmed until you hear from us. No online payment is collected through the request menu, so sending your preferences is the beginning of planning your box.

If your plans involve transporting or serving the box later, mention that as well. For serving, follow the FDA’s food-safety guidance: keep cold foods at 40°F or colder, and discard perishables left without temperature control for more than two hours, or one hour above 90°F. Ask about handling arrangements before your event so you can plan ahead.
